Friday Five

Happy Friday, y’all! Has this felt like the longest week ever to anyone else? I am ready for the weekend!! We’re grabbing breakfast tomorrow morning with some sweet friends of ours and then headed to a wedding for another friend tomorrow afternoon. It’ll be the first wedding we’ve been to at the church we got married in since we got married there more than four years ago. Cra-zy.

Anyways, on the Friday Five…

Happy Friday, y’all! I’ve felt good the past 24 hours, so I’m hoping this trend continues and I can get some things done around the house this weekend. I’m in desperate need of purging our closets (mine specifically). So, feel free to send all the good vibes my way 😉

Pinch of Green

Since it’s St. Patrick’s Day, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite ways to add just a pinch of green to your decor!

Here are a few of my favorites…

I don’t have any pops of green in our house, so that might be a fun element to add! I hope everyone is having a happy St. Patrick’s Day and no one is getting pinched. I didn’t wear any green today, and luckily haven’t been pinched yet. Because if someone tries to pinch a pregnant lady recovering from a migraine and morning sickness, I will show no mercy. You will officially be added to my $!@* list. Hell hath no fury like a pregnant woman. Or something like that.

Decorating with Blue and White

Admittedly, majority of our home is decorated in white, blues and black. I have always loved how crisp and clean white and blue look together. Heck, even majority of my wardrobe is blue.

When I was a freshman in high school, my mom let me decorate my bedroom exactly how I wanted. I chose vibrant blue walls with all white everything else. It didn’t go at all with the rest of the house (my mom has a beautiful home with lots of antiques and muted tones), and the blue was probably a little too bold, but whatever. It was mine and my love for blue and white stuck.

Fast forward to today, and you’ll find blue and white all over my home and luckily it’s a look that never gets old. I rounded up a few of my current favorites on the classic trend…

Do you love the look of blue and white? I seem to just gravitate toward it naturally. Even dreaming up nursery ideas has me thinking that regardless of if it’s a boy or girl, there will be blue and white involved.

Hope everyone isn’t as tired as I am on this Wednesday. Daylight Saving Time plus pregnancy = one tired lady.

FF - Guest Room

1  |  Love the look of this guest room (especially those mirrors).

2  |  Broke down and finally bought this planner (enter heart eye emoji).

3  |  These would make the perfect Super Bowl snack.

FF - LGN Flowers

4  |  Great tips on how to keep your flowers fresh longer.

5  |  Am I totally crazy for loving this dress? (Don’t answer that…)

Happy Friday, y’all! I’m headed to Birmingham tomorrow to meet up with some of my closest friends for lunch and shopping and can’t wait to see them!

Friday Five

Hello! Long time no see (talk? write? blog?)! Sorry for the unplanned blogging hiatus – the holidays took us by storm (kind of literally) and I feel like the dust is just starting to settle and our routine is getting somewhat back to normal. I always feel like December is balls to the wall and that January should slow down…but it doesn’t. Zach and I are jam-packed every weekend in January and several in February. Oh well, at least we’ll be having fun 🙂

So, on to the Friday Five…

FF - House Beautiful

1  |  I love this home makeover. I plan to steal a few ideas for our house since majority of it is in that same color scheme.

2  |  We’re heading to a friend’s wedding later this month and this seems like such a chic and easy way to do my hair.

3  |  I think I might need this tunic in my life.

FF - Furbish Tassel Pillow

4  |  I love anything with tassels and this pillow is no exception.

5  |  This looks divine.

Happy Friday, y’all!

Slipper Chairs

Happy Monday y’all! Hope everyone had a nice weekend! My friends Rachel and Ryan have purchased a new home and will be moving into it soon (less than two weeks, guys!). Rachel mentioned that they just got some slipper chairs out of storage and it made me start thinking about how much I love the look of a set of slipper chairs. They aren’t bulky and look so sleek, so they’re a great addition to just about any room when you need extra seating.

Here are a few ways to incorporate them in your home…

I’m headed to Asheville, North Carolina, later this week with my mom, her best friend, my sister-in-law and my niece for a girls weekend. I haven’t been since high school, so I’m excited to experience it as an adult, do some sight seeing and eat some delicious food (duh). If you have any recommendations for places to see, things to do or restaurants, please pass them along!
